Well they are here, and I'm slightly disappointed...

They've been lifted a bit (2in for the Tundra and Taco, 1.5in for the 4Runner), off-road tuned suspension, and I think they look great... but no changes in power (according to Autoguide). However, spend the extra money to throw the TRD Supercharger on any of them and you've got one hell of an off-road machine.

No suprises.

Agreed. I knew better than to get my hopes up, but I did anyways. Seriously, something as simple as putting a TRD intake and exhaust system on them would have made it that much more special. Just give them a little something extra to hint at being "off-road performance" models.

I appreciate the fact that they're slightly understated and aren't plastered with tons of gaudy stickers. The suspension upgrades sound promising enough.

Idk, they were touting these as models inspired by their baja experience. I think even a couple small TRD engine/powertrain bits would have made them stand out a lot more. The suspension is nice, but I think pricing will reveal whether they are really worth it.

Looks like they do have a TRD exhaust.

TRD intakes and cat back exhaust kits are already available for a 5 -10 hp boosto. I'd rather have off-road suspension components for actual off-roading purposes.

My bad, the report I read didn't state any changes or upgrades to the engine. I definitely agree that the suspension is more important, but I was expecting to hear more about power upgrades as well.

Gotchya. Nothing I'd read so far (of course I should have checked Toyota first lol) had mentioned that.

I cannot tell that well from the pictures but I think I like the body styling on the Tundra better than the shapes they have now. The hood seems to short and snub for my liking's on the current ones. Correct me if I'm wrong. Either way it doesn't matter because there isn't performance in the body style haha

How much power do you really need for off-roading? I've seen specs for hardcore offroad vehicles (old defenders, jeeps, etc) with like double-digit horsepower.

Not much, but I was just thinking along the lines of "If they're touting it as a baja inspired Raptor fighter, I'd expect it to be a bit more 'sporty'" Honestly, I'm sure these will be great off-road, because Toyota. haha
